Lately all of the attention has been on the Model 3 and Model Y, which explains why sales of the Tesla Model S are down so far this year. To help boost sales of the Model S, Tesla has lowered the price of the Model S Long Range Plus and Performance models.

Tesla has chopped $3,000 off the starting price for the Model S Long Range Plus, which brings its starting price down to $71,990, while the Performance now starts at $91,990.

The Model S Long Range Plus can travel up to 402 miles on a single charge and can reach 0-60 mph in only 3.7 seconds. The Model S Performance has a slightly lower driving range at 348 miles, but it can also reach 60 mph in an insanely quick 2.3 seconds.

If you’re wondering if the price for the upcoming Model S Plaid has changed, sadly it did not get a price cut. The Plaid starts at $139,990, but it has a 520 mile range and can reach 60 mph in under two seconds.
