Mercedes-Benz was supposed to start selling its EQC electric crossover in the US within the next few weeks, but now it’s been delayed. Mercedes-Benz has now decided to not sell the EQC in the US until 2021.

2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC

Automotive News is reporting that, Mercedes-Benz told buyers, “It is a strategic decision to first support the growing customer demand for the EQC in Europe.”

The Mercedes-Benz EQC is the first of 10 EVs that Mercedes-Benz plans to launch by 2022, but we’ll have to wait and see how fast they arrive in the US. Since the EQC is now delayed, that will give Audi, BMW and Tesla more time to take over the segment.
