Earlier this year it was reported that Lincoln may add suicide doors to the Lincoln Continental, which is a throwback to the iconic sedan from the 1960s. Now Lincoln has dropped another hint, that the center-opening doors may be coming back.

Today Lincoln dropped a hint on its social media outlets with a picture of a 1960s Lincoln Continental.
“Making a statement without a word. Center-opening doors elevated the Lincoln #Continental of the mid 1960’s to the pinnacle of mid-century style, a car driven by the likes of Pablo Picasso. #TBT… or is it? Stay tuned to our Instagram feed for more.”
The current Lincoln Continental hasn’t made the impact that Lincoln hoped for, so maybe by adding suicide doors to the next-generation Continental could help. But there’s also been a report that the Continental will soon be killed off, so could Lincoln be hinting at an SUV with suicide doors?
Stay tuned.
