The Volkswagen Arteon is a great flagship sedan, but it sadly doesn’t really sell that well in the US. Now a new report claims that VW will discontinue the Arteon in 2024 in the US to make way for a fully electric sedan.
Automotive News is reporting that the Arteon will be replaced by the production version of the ID Aero concept. The ID Aero was revealed a few months ago and is based on the same MEB platform as the ID 4 and ID Buzz. According to a letter to dealers, the electric sedan will have an “impressive range.”
The ID Aero is slated to go on sale in the US in 2024.
