We’ve been hearing a lot of reports lately about what we can expect for the next-generation Subaru WRX and WRX STI, but have yet to see any photos or get any big info from Subaru. The new Subaru WRX and WRX STI are expected to arrive in 2021, but now we may have our first look at the interior of the brand’s high-performance sedan.
Japanese website Creative Trend has posted a photo of what appears to be from a Subaru brochure. What we see here reportedly the interior of the new WRX, which is a vast improvement over the current model.
The new Subaru WRX will have a fully digital instrument cluster, which we can see here even displays the navigation info. The current WRX has a small 6.5-inch touchscreen, but that’s being replaced by a larger portrait-oriented screen.
Sadly we still don’t have any photos of the exterior, but under the hood the new WRX is expected to be powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder Boxer engine. The WRX will reportedly have around 276 horsepower, while the new WRX STI could have over 400 hp.
Subaru hasn’t confirmed when we’ll see the next-generation WRX and WRX STI, but they might debut later this year.
