Hyundai has announced all the changes that it has planned for its 2021 model lineup, but if you look at the list you’ll see one model missing – the Elantra GT hatchback. Hyundai has announced that both the Elantra GT and the sportier Elantra GT N Line are dead after the 2020 model year.
Hyundai says that it has discontinued the Elantra GT due to its “expanded SUV lineup that includes Venue and Kona.” The Elantra GT N Line will effectively be replaced by the upcoming Elantra N Line sedan.
We’re still waiting for the debut of the 2021 Elantra N Line, but Hyundai has released a few teasers of the sporty compact sedan. Hyundai hasn’t announced the specs for the Elantra N Line, but it has been reported that it will be powered by the same 1.6-liter turbocharged as the outgoing Elantra GT Line, which means it should have around 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque.
