Last year Kia unveiled the hatchback version of the Kia K4 compact sedan and now Kia has announced more details about the K4 hatchback. It’s slated to arrive later this year and will give buyers more cargo space than the sedan.
The K4 hatchback is shorter than the sedan version but it has 22 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats up and 59 cubic feet with them folded. Those specs are slightly under the Honda Civic hatchback. Thanks to its flatter roofline there’s more headroom for passengers in the rear seats.
Under the hood the K4 hatchback gets the same engine lineup as the sedan. which means that it comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 147 horsepower that’s mated to a CVT. The GT-Line Turbo version has a turbocharged 1.6-liter with 190 hp that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2026 Kia K4 hatchback will arrive in later this year.
