Kia continues to expand its number of fully electric models. Today Kia unveiled the 2026 Kia EV4 compact electric sedan.

2026 Kia EV4

The EV4 is based on the same 400V Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) as Kia’s other EVs, like the EV6 but it doesn’t get the 800-volt platform that the EV6 has. The Kia EV4 will be available in three trim levels: Light, Wind and GT-Line. The EV4 Light is powered by a 58-kWh battery, while the Wind and GT-Line models get a larger 81-kWh battery.

A single electric motor with 201 horsepower powers the front wheels. The EV4 Light will have an estimated range of 235 miles, while the EV4 Wind will have a range up to 330 miles. Kia has not announced the range for the GT-Line version. The EV4 also has the NACS charging port to give it access to Tesla Superchargers. Using a DC fast-charger the EV4 Light can charge from 10-80 percent in 29 minutes, while the 81-kWh battery needs 31 minutes.

It’s bold styling is definitely a stand out with its low front end and fastback roofline. The Light and Wind models get 17-inch wheels, while the GT-Line adds 19-inch wheels.

Inside there are two 12.3-inch screens that bookend a 5-inch climate display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.

Kia has not announced the pricing for the 2026 Kia EV4, but its slated to go on sale in the first quarter of 2026.
