Honda is getting ready to unveil the next-generation 2026 Honda Passport, which it says will be the “most capable and off-road focused Honda SUV yet.” Now Honda is previewing how much more rugged the new Passport will be when it goes on sale early next year.

Honda already released several teaser photos of the 2026 Passport TrailSport, which is the most rugged trim level available. The Passport TrailSport will also ride on special 18-inch wheels with 31-inch all-terrain tires. It also gets bright orange heavy-duty front recovery points and a much shorter front overhang for an improved approach angle.
Owners will be able to make the Passport even more adventure ready with a long list of available accessories. New accessories include rock sliders that can handle the weight of the vehicle, an aluminum front scuff plate to protect the front fascia from damage, and a new line of available cargo accessories with an overlanding focus, such as MOLLE (modular light-weight load-carrying equipment) storage system integrated into the rear cargo area.
On the tech front there’s a new TrailWatch system with four camera views–front, rear, side and 360-degree. The TrailWatch system also has new tire path and vehicle body guidelines shown in the center display to help drivers navigate obstacles.

Honda has already confirmed that the 2026 Passport will be powered by a new 3.5-liter V6 that’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
