Mazda’s evergreen roadster soldiers into 2024 with visual and performance tweaks.

Fans of the current Mazda MX-5 Miata’s styling will be happy to find very little change to the vehicle’s exterior. All exterior lamps have been upgraded to LED lighting technology, bringing a slightly sharper taillight design with them. New 16- and 17-inch wheel designs will be joined by a new color, Aero Gray Metallic. Inside updates are limited to a larger 8.8-inch infotainment display (up from 7.0-inch) and USB-C ports.
Being known for its superb handling, it’s only natural the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata will also receive meaningful performance updates. These updates include a new asymmetric limited-slip differential for enhanced stability and agility though this differential upgrade will be limited to manual 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miatas. Manual 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miatas will also get a new track setting with less intrusive stability control. All 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miatas will get revised power steering to provide more natural feedback.
While these updates are currently only official for the Japanese market, we expect them to find their way to other countries shortly.
On sale since 2016, the current ND generation Mazda MX-5 Miata is entering its 9th model year, and we expect to see an all-new generation in the not-too-distant future.
