Aston Martin continuous to wow us with its beautiful cars and now we have the introduction of another one – the 2024 Aston Martin DB12 Volante. It is an open-top version of the D12 coupe. Aston Martin says that the DB12 Volante, “combines spectacular Super Tourer performance and handling with the irresistible sensory thrills of roof-down driving.”

The convertible version was developed at the same time as the coupe, which means that it’s powered by the same twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from AMG. The engine generates 671 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Sadly a V12 is not available. The V8 is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. It comes with adaptive dampers, but the Volante’s suspension will be a bit softer than the coupe, since it has different rear springs.
Aston Martin says that the DB12 Volante can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and it has a top speed of 202 mph. The caveat here is that the DB12 Volante can only reach that top speed with the top up.
The Volante’s roof is an eight-layer top that is available in four colors: black, blue, red and black/silver. It only takes 14 seconds to open the roof and 16 seconds to close it at speeds up to 31 mph.

Inside the modern interior features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which we wish was available on other Aston Martin models.
Production of the 2024 Aston Martin D12 Volante will begin in the third quarter of this year, with the first deliveries scheduled later this year.
