If you like the Mercedes-AMG GT, but want more power than the GT63 with its 577 hp, Mercedes has just unveiled something special for you. The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance is powered by a hybrid V8 powertrain with 805 horsepower.

The E Performance plug-in hybrid powertrain features a 4.0L V8 biturbo engine and a rear mounted electric motor. The powertrain generates a combined 805 hp and up to 1,047 pound-feet of torque. All that power translates a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 199 mph. The electric range spec hasn’t been released yet.
The electric drive unit combines a 201 hp electric motor with an electrically shifted two-speed transmission and a limited-slip rear differential. The lightweight 6.1-kWh AMG battery is also located at the rear above the rear axle. The electric motor adds a boost when starting off from a standstill, accelerating or overtaking. If wheel slip occurs at the rear axle, the drive power of the electric motor is transferred to the front wheels.
To make the 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance even more capable, a new carbon element is hidden in the underbody in front of the engine has been added that automatically lowers by 1.6 inches at a speed of 50 mph. This creates a Venturi effect and keeps the GT 63 planted to the road. Depending on the drive mode selected, the spoiler has five new angular positions above 50 mph to either optimize driving stability or reduce drag.

It also comes standard with the AMG active ride control suspension, which features active hydraulics instead of conventional mechanical torsion bar anti-roll bars.
The 2025 Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance is slated to arrive in late 2024.
