Toyota is bringing us back to the the 90’s inspired 2024 GR Supra 45th Anniversary Edition and back to the 80’s with the 2024 GR 86 Trueno Edition, which is inspired by the iconic AE86.

The GR86 Trueno Edition is baed on the Premium trim level and will be available in both manual and automatic transmission models. Toyota only plans to build 860 units for the US market, which each one getting a special number plate on the driver’s side dash. On the outside it features a two-tone look with a black wrapped hood, black Trueno Edition side panel graphic, and a black painted duckbill spoiler paired to either Halo or Track bRed. In a tribute to the 1980’s model it will wear a Trueno Edition badge on the front bumper lip and rear decklid. Lastly the exterior gets unique black metallic finished 18-inch, 10-spoke aluminum alloy wheels, and black door handles and mirror caps.
Inside the special edition GR86 gets, ultrasuede sport seats with red leather and a red-stitched shift boot and leather-wrapped steering wheel. Lastly there’s a Trueno Edition logoed shift knob.

The 2024 GR86 also gets a new Performance Package. It consists of ZF SACHS Dampers and Brembo Brakes, this new Performance Package will be standard on the TRUENO Edition. The Performance Package will be an option that customers can add to for new 2024 GR86 models and available as a retrofit for any GR86 from the 2022 or 2023 model years.
Manual transmission versions now have the same Active Safety Suite as the automatic versions, which includes driver assistance features, like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and automatic high beams.
