Bentley has unveiled the new 2014 Bentley Continental GT V8 S, which is going to debut next week in Frankfurt. Available as both a coupe and convertible, the new GT V8 S models add a lowered and retuned sports suspension, sharper steering, dramatic ‘S’ signature styling cues and most importantly a 521-hp V8 engine.
The new GT V8 S models feature a more powerful version of Bentley’s high-efficiency 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine developing 521 bhp and 502 lb-ft. of torque. The GT V8 S coupe reaches 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds onto a top speed of 192 mph and the GT V8 S convertible reaches 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 191mph.
Even with 521 horsepower under the hood, the GT V8 S can reach over 500 miles between fill ups. The new GT V8 S coupe returns a combined cycle fuel economy of 26.8 mpg (EU cycle) and the convertible is rated at 25.9 mpg (EU cycle).
